Are you a DIY enthusiast or a crafty bride-to-be? Creating your own wedding flower arrangements can be a fun and rewarding experience. By choosing locally grown, seasonal flowers, you can achieve the look you want without the hefty price tag of a professional florist.

Plus, with a little planning, you can pick your own flowers just 48 hours before your big day, ensuring they're fresh, fragrant, and perfectly in season.

  • Spring

    We will have Spring blooms available from September to November such as Ranunculus, Daffodils, Sweet William, Snapdragons, Corncockle and Cornflowers

  • Summer

    We will have Summer flowers available from December to February such as Sunflowers, Dahlias, Snapdragons, Cosmos, Celosia, Scabiosa and Strawflowers.

  • Autumn

    We will have Summer flowers available from March to April such as Sunflowers, Dahlias, Cosmos, Scabiosa, Strawflowers & Amaranthus.

How many Flowers

do we need?

It all begins with an idea. Choose the style and colours you want to feature at your wedding and remember to be flexible with flower choices. Different blooms are in season at different times of the year, so it is essential to be open to what’s available. For example if you want peonies consider a Spring wedding! Once you have a clear vision, you can start estimating how many flowers you will need.

Bridal Party Flowers

For a Bridal Bouquet you will need 20 to 50 stems. Bridesmaids bouquets are typically smaller so can use 20 to 40 flower stems. If you want buttonholes these can often be made with 3 to 5 stems.

Venue Installations

The number of flowers needed for venue installations depends on the vessels and arrangements you choose. If you want to use bottles you will need 1 to 5 flowers per bottle. Jam or Agee jars are a popular option and can fit 10 to 15 flowers per jar (we have a big collection if you would like to rent some). Depending on the vase used you could have up to 20 to 40 stems.

Keep in mind these estimates are rough and can vary depending on your style and what is flowering in the garden.
